Churches

"It's estimated that only 10% of Churches have a Disability Ministry."

While the phrase "Image Bearers" throughout the decades has expressed God's love for individuals with disabilities-- it's simply not been enough to open Church doors for our families. My husband and I would understand this heartbreaking statistic one day when we realized even our own Church had an age cut off for Disability Ministry and families were being turned away. As I sat in the pews deeply grieved, I said to the Lord, "You have given our family revival through our children and this ministry-- why is the Church still missing it?" He softly replied, "Because there has not been a narrative of value spoken over it."

The Leah Inheritance is a Biblical Redemptive Narrative that establishes how God is moving in the lives of families who carry the Ministry of Disability and understanding it's value, gifts, and call to be a Sanctification Ministry within the Body of Christ.

The Leah Inheritance Message

"Discovering how God is moving in the lives of families who carry the Ministry of Disability & understanding it's value, gifts, and call to be a Sanctification Ministry within the Body of Christ."

Session 1: Rueben
"Leah went from being loved in her Father Laban's house to being hated in Jacob's just like when families receive a disability diagnosis for their child. However, God was moving in Leah's life to extend the understanding of love that only comes from sonship."

Session 2: Simeon
"Leah describes being despised and held in contempt even by her own family just like families who carry the ministry of disability feel when negative behaviors arise. However, God was moving in her life to remove all shame and to propel her into her true identity."

Session 3: Levi
"Leah was lonely and isolated just like families who carry the ministry of disability often feel. However, God was moving in her life to extend the knowledge of deeper communion with Him."

Session 4: Judah
"Leah found herself honored before her enemies by the Lord moving in deliverance on her behalf. She became the first person in the Bible to Praise the Lord. When we surrender our control and step into humility-- we give the highest of praise to Hashem because He restores honor on our behalf."

Session 5: Judah & The Mark of Kingship
"What man overlooks and discards-- God places the gifts and callings of a King! Judah responds and steps into sacrificial love which is the highest form of love that can be displayed as a Christian who bears the image of Christ. Families who carry the ministry of disability step into this role and understanding of this character trait of Christ through the Caregiver role."

Session 6: Judah & The Inheritance of Kingship
"Caleb from the Tribe of Judah would be the only one able to conquer the Giants of Rebellion (Sons of Anak) to obtain the Promised land. Each of these giants represents the giants of the flesh which need to be crucified to step into Sanctification and posses the Spiritual Promised land of rest available to all believers today-- Painting a beautiful picture of how the Ministry of Disability is a Sanctification Ministry for the Body of Christ."

"It would be Leah's Lineage, the unloved & unwanted, that despite their suffering would be marked by God as Deliverer's, Priest's, Prophet's, & Kings. A people called to forerun the knowledge of God's ways and to bring His people back into the purity of devotion unto Him."

"It is so much more than a narrative. It's giving our family and my disabled child a voice of value back within the Church."
